Calvary’s Low Ropes Course is designed as a series of team building activities, sometimes on or close to the ground but also offers some higher challenges. The Course is available for various groups, such as a youth groups, office staff, school classes, or scout troops. The training offered at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital is an opportunity for personal growth in several ways: 1. Preparation for the inevitable times ahead in which we all will undoubtedly have opportunity to visit and/or sit at the bedside of a dying friend or family member. 2. Becoming more familiar with the practical aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual care of the dying in a classroom setting, when we are not in a personal or family crisis. 3. Reflection on our past experiences of caregiving at end-of-life, which can be an opportunity for growth and healing related to our own past experiences of grief. Participants will learn: What a vape is and how it is used; what are the effects of its use; and what are the legal issues surrounding vaping. VOT | A1:8 is an opportunity for youth and young adults as well as adults to live out their faith by being the hands and feet of Jesus in Pontiac and the surrounding area. VOT | A:1-8 welcomes everyone to participate in a variety of service projects, including building and maintaining a neighborhood playground, packing food for the homeless, and visiting residents at assisted living facilities.
