Opening Worship Songs

Found In You

We're reaching out

to welcome You God

Fill this place

again with Your song

Flood our thoughts

with wonder and awe

Give us a greater glimpse

of a never changing God

   Chorus

All we want

and all we need

is found in You

Jesus ev'ry victory

is found in You

Open wide

our hearts now to Yours

Ev'ry fear

bow down to Your love

That we would see

like never before

Give us a greater glimpse

of a never changing God (Chorus)

In Your presence

there is freedom

In Your presence

we are made whole… (Chorus)

King Of My Heart

Let the King of my heart

Be the mountain where I run

The fountain I drink from

Oh He is my song

Let the King of my heart

Be the shadow where I hide

The ransom for my life

Oh He is my song

  Chorus

You are good…

Let the King of my heart

Be the wind inside my sails

The anchor in the waves

Oh He is my song

Let the King of my heart

Be the fire inside my veins

The echo of my days

Oh He is my song (Chorus)

You're never gonna let

Never gonna let me down… (Chorus)

Prayer of the Day

Almighty God, it is for your purpose that we have been created.  Each day transform us more and more into the likeness of Jesus, as we journey together along the Spiritual Growth Pathway.  Help us to faithfully Enter, Engage, Equip, and Extend your love to others throughout the world.  Make us joyful in worship, authentic in fellowship, growing in discipleship, humble in serving, and passionate in reaching out with the Good News of your amazing grace.  Grow your church at Calvary to your glory, and may that impact ripple into the world through each one of us; we pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

(based on Calvary's Spiritual Growth Pathway and the 5 Purposes of a Purpose Driven Church)

1st Lesson – Jeremiah 29:11-13 (TNIV)

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Psalm 100 (NRSV)

L:  Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
C:  Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing.
L:  Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his;

C:  we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
L:  Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise.

C:  Give thanks to him, bless his name.
L:  For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever,

C:  and his faithfulness to all generations.

2nd Lesson – Ephesians 3:14-21 (NRSV)

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Gospel – Luke 6:43-49 (TNIV)

“No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. Good people bring good things out of the good stored up in their heart, and evil people bring evil things out of the evil stored up in their heart. For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?  As for those who come to me and hear my words and put them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But those who hear my words and do not put them into practice are like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

Message Response Song

What A Beautiful Name

You were the Word at the beginning

One with God the Lord Most High

Your hidden glory in creation

Now revealed in You our Christ

What a beautiful Name it is

What a beautiful Name it is

The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a beautiful Name it is

Nothing compares to this

What a beautiful Name it is

The Name of Jesus

You didn't want heaven without us

So Jesus You brought heaven down

My sin was great Your love was greater

What could separate us now

What a wonderful Name it is

What a wonderful Name it is

The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a wonderful Name it is

Nothing compares to this

What a wonderful Name it is

The Name of Jesus

What a wonderful Name it is

The Name of Jesus

Death could not hold You

The veil tore before You

You silence the boast of sin and grave

The heavens are roaring

The praise of Your glory

For You are raised to life again

You have no rival

You have no equal

Now and forever God You reign

Yours is the kingdom

Yours is the glory

Yours is the Name above all names

What a powerful Name it is

What a powerful Name it is

The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a powerful Name it is

Nothing can stand against

What a powerful Name it is

The Name of Jesus

What a powerful Name it is

The Name of Jesus

What a powerful Name it is

The Name of Jesus

Communion Songs

Gravity Of Love

I lift my eyes up to the hills

This my morning song

Where my strength comes from

I lift my eyes up to the hills

This my evening song

Where my help comes from

  Chorus

This is the gravity of love

Just as the moon follows the sun

You're all around me

You're holding ev'rything

This is the hope of ev'ry land

Just as the universe expands

Your love is reaching

You're holding ev'rything

We lift our eyes up to the hills

When will our help come

Lord we cry how long

We lift our eyes up to the hills

Even as we run

Hope is chasing us (Chorus)

Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing

Come Thou Fount of ev'ry blessing

Tune my heart to sing Thy grace

Streams of mercy never ceasing

Call for songs of loudest praise

Teach me some melodious sonnet

Sung by flaming tongues above

Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it

Mount of God's redeeming love

Here I raise my Ebenezer

Hither to Thy help I'm come

And I hope by Thy good pleasure

Safely to arrive at home

Jesus sought me when a stranger

Wand'ring from the fold of God

He to rescue me from danger

Interposed His precious blood

O to grace how great a debtor

Daily I'm constrained to be

Let Thy goodness like a fetter

Bind my wand'ring heart to Thee

Prone to wander Lord I feel it

Prone to leave the God I love

Here's my heart O take and seal it

Seal it for Thy courts above

Sending Song

Counting Every Blessing

I was blind

now I'm seeing in colour

I was dead

now I'm living forever

I had failed

but You were my Redeemer

I've been blessed

beyond all measure

I was lost now I'm found by the Father

I've been changed from a ruin to treasure

I've been given a hope and a future

I've been blessed beyond all measure

  Chorus

I am counting every blessing

Counting every blessing

Letting go and trusting

When I cannot see

I am counting every blessing

Counting every blessing

Surely every season

You are good to me

Oh You are good to me

Oh You are good to me

You were there

in the valley of shadows

You were there

in the depth of my sorrows

You're my strength

my hope for tomorrow

I've been blessed

beyond all measure (Chorus)

Surely Your goodness pursues me

Surely Your heart is still for me

I will remember Your mercies

All my days

Through every storm and gale (Chorus)
