Voice of Truth Mission Trip
Meeting Places & Times Vary
August 9-12 | 6th - 12th Grade
This is an opportunity for youth to live out their faith by being the hands and feet of Jesus in the community. Voice of Truth welcomes everyone to participate in a variety of service projects that may include: gardening, food distribution, and visiting with the community. This time spent together in mission will create lasting memories and change lives. Transportation will not be provided and participants will need to meet at the project sites each day. Please bring your own water bottle, wear closed-toe shoes, and dress appropriately to be outside. Additional details and registration information can be found below.

We are teaming up with Lighthouse to distribute fresh produce boxes to those in need! Two shifts of 10-12 volunteers are needed each week. Volunteers must be 18 years of age and be able to lift 25 pounds, although there are some non-lifting jobs. Volunteers must also wear protective masks and gloves and practice social distancing.

Calvary's White Lake Community Garden provides about 3 tons of produce each year to local food pantries serving our communities. We know that this is going to be another great season of providing fresh produce for hungry people in our area. We will be harvesting on the days/times listed above. Please bring your own work gloves and small work tools. We will be wiping down produce carriers before and after each shift. Be sure to wear a mask when within 6 feet of another team member.

Parking Lot Worship
6805 Bluegrass Dr, Clarkston, MI
August 16 | 11am-12pm
This Sunday, we are offering a brief outdoor service in our parking lot utilizing a new FM radio transmitter. Safe self-serve Communion will be available for this worship time, or you are welcome to bring your own. We feel this is the safest way to move forward at this time, and a good way for us to be outside at our Clarkston Campus in a way that will cause less disruption for our neighbors. You can stay in your car or bring a lawn chair to sit just outside your car so you can hear your radio. Restrooms will be available, however, entry into the church will require wearing a face covering.
Midland Area Flooding Disaster Relief
6805 Bluegrass Dr, Clarkston, MI
Disaster Relief At Work (DRAW) is working to get cleaning buckets and building materials, specifically drywall, to the flood victims of the Midland area. They have been able to give the resources to six different churches who then distribute them to those in need. They are distributing a dozen 4'x8' sheets per household to those requesting it and the cost of a dozen sheets is around $80. To help with these efforts you can donate or fill a bucket yourself with the supplies listed on their website and drop it off at Calvary's Clarkston Campus.
Meeting Times Vary
The Living In Finite Experiences (LIFE) Ministry promotes mental health awareness throughout our community. There are LIFE Ministry monthly meetings on the 2nd Monday of each month at our Clarkston campus where we schedule and plan opportunities for awareness, prevention, and support. You will also see that some of our other opportunities are in fact LIFE Ministry centered events as well. Please contact Pastor Kate Zywicki to see how you can engage with our virtual LIFE Ministry during this pandemic time.
