40DAYS to Rejuvinate
Begins October 2
Life has been tough these past few years and it has taken a toll on each of us in some way. Many express being tired or less hopeful or even questioning their faith. These 40 Days (Oct 2- Nov 13) will be a time to revive our spirit, re-engage our faith, and discover new energy for life. The word “rejuvenate” literally means "to make youthful again." So, no matter your age or where you are in your walk of faith, “better together” we will seek new vigor for our lives by confronting those things that extinguish our faith and leaning into those practices which refill us and quench our deepest thirst.

WELCA Bible Study
Monday at 7:00 PM
WELCA (Women of the ELCA) will begin a new season of monthly Bible studies for women at Calvary. The sessions will focus on Jesus and Nature: Teachers of Faith by Rev Sara Olson Smith. These studies will allow nature to be our teacher, through the words of Jesus and other examples in Scripture. Session 1 is called “Trees” and will tap into Biblical images of trees and their significance in Biblical times as well as today. In light of the heightened concern for the environment and our responsibility as “stewards of God’s creation” these studies are very timely and should provide opportunity for some great discussion. Bring your Bible, study materials will be provided for those not subscribing to the WELCA Gather Magazine.

Recently, we started sharing gorgeous flowers that were donated specifically to be shared with family and friends of Calvary. Many we haven't seen in a while due to a variety of reasons and some because we knew they needed a little bit of sunshine. Thank you God for such a beautiful bounty.
