Children's Minister

We are currently searching for a Children's Minister with training and experience in education, who is a passionate and deeply committed disciple of Jesus Christ, an effective recruiter and equipper of others, and relates very well to youth of all ages and their families. This person must have a clear sense of calling to share and nurture the love of Jesus with the children of our congregation and community, and be committed to promoting healthy faith-nurturing families through our PHASE approach to ministry. This person should be a visionary and creative, particularly gifted to empower and equip others for ministry, an effective administrator, and an excellent team player open to coaching and continued personal growth. This person must be willing to make and live out a commitment to Calvary's core values, Spiritual Growth Pathway, mission, and vision for outreach. We hope this person will have a special heart for working with troubled and at risk youth and families, and creating ministries to reach those often ignored so they too can be part of a healthy Christian community. The Children's Minister is called to work collaboratively and creatively with the Youth and Family Ministry staff and volunteers to envision, plan, promote, lead, and grow a dynamic, team-based, inclusive, and outreach-oriented children's ministry. The Children's Minister reports directly to the Associate Pastor for Youth and Family Ministry and is responsible for the development and oversight of leaders, leadership teams, and ministry programming with children, birth through 7th grade and their families. This is a three-quarter to full time position with competitive salary and full benefits (if needed) to begin immediately. We will also consider dividing this role into two quarter to half-time positions. Please direct all inquiries, questions, and resumes to

Senior Pastor Jonathan Heierman.
