ENGAGE Youth Group
4th - 7th Grade
This is a special group of preteens (4th-7th graders) that gather for events and fellowship outside of Sunday morning programming. Throughout the year we engage in events such as our fall retreat, movie nights, bingo, service projects, camps, and much more! These are fun activities youth are always encouraged to invite their friends to.
3rd Grade Bibles
In January, students receive their third new Bible and receive a special blessing during worship. Bible classes are then offered for parents and students at this age to develop and learn more about journeying through the Bible, Better Together.
In this milestone, both parents and students attend special classes (usually about 4 classes) that teach about the meaning of Communion. Typically this happens in 4th grade, but if your student is younger and asking questions, contact a pastor to explore how to address in an age appropriate manner. Likewise, if you have an older student who hasn't gone through this meaningful teaching and milestone, contact a pastor to explore making this happen or joining our annual offering of classes and celebration. Students receive Communion for the first time at a special time during worship services, often during Holy Week.
We view this milestone of Baptism as an entrance into God's family and a significant step in the formation of a living and eternal relationship with Jesus at any phase or age of life. You do not need to be a member of Calvary to celebrate Baptism here with us. By way of preparation, we offer pre-baptismal sessions that allow you to meet personally with our pastors, learning more about what Baptism means and the lifetime of support that Calvary offers.
