In light of the current public health situation and the high priority we place on the health and safety of our congregation and community, we have temporarily changed many of the ways in which we operate. We assure you however that despite these changes our church is not 'closed' and that we will continue to offer ministry that provides a sense of hope, peace, and stability in the midst of this uncertainty and fear. Below are some of the ways that we are adjusting our ministry for the time being. To stay connected and updated on more detailed church happenings, visit our Weekly page and our 40Days page. Also, please remember that Online Giving opportunities are always available.
Unfortunately, we will be temporarily pausing all indoor in-person programs at our Clarkston Campus at least through this coming weekend, Sunday, September 27. This pause applies to all Growth Groups, small group Prayer & Communion, and Sunday 11am and 4pm indoor worship, as well as any other indoor Calvary ministries or meetings. This weekend we will continue to offer 9:30am online live stream worship and 11am parking lot FM radio worship only. Below is the link to a letter written by Senior Pastor Jonathan Heierman that explains all of this in more detail.
Sundays | 9:30-10:30am
Every Sunday morning we are sharing live-streamed worship services through our YouTube channel. These services can be watched live at 9:30am or replayed anytime after for your convenience. They are complete with engaging music and meaningful sermons. We very much hope you can join us for worship in this new and exciting way if you are uncomfortable with or unable to make it to worship in person! Below you will find a link to the latest service.
Parking Lot Worship
6805 Bluegrass Dr, Clarkston, MI
Sundays | 11am-12pm
Sundays at 11am we will host outdoor worship services in our parking lot utilizing a radio transmitter (96.9 FM). You can stay in your car, or bring a lawn chair to sit just outside your car so you can hear your radio. This will allow us to maintain appropriate physical distancing. Parking lot attendants will help you park in a staggered pattern. Restrooms will be available, however, entry into the church will require registration, a face covering, and will be located behind the Administrative Center of the building (to the right of the front doors). The front entrance of the church will not be available for entry during parking lot worship. The sign up link is below, if you do not have a Realm account yet, please call or email us to register.
Each fall we share what we call a 40Days Spiritual Growth Journey where we refocus on our purpose, calling, and mission as individuals and as a congregation. This year we are embarking on a timely journey called 40Days Lord, Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace. Together, in the midst of this chaotic year, we will learn about and practice "being instruments of God's peace" as we share inspiring worship, small group experiences, Bible memory verses, an intentional focus on prayer, daily Bible readings, sharing peace with others, and missional service. For more information please click on the link below.
Growth Groups are a vital aspect of our ministry. They are small groups that provide a safe place to meet new friends and grow deeply in faith throughout the year. You definitely do not have to be a member to participate. Current Growth Groups are following the 40Days Lord, Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace spiritual growth journey material. Some groups are still using Zoom video conferencing and some are meeting in person. Sign up for these groups is being facilitated through our new church software, Realm. If you are interested in signing up for a group but do not have a Realm account yet, please contact the church office and we will send you a link that will allow you to create a Realm account and sign up for the group.
Updated Safety Protocols
As we kick off our fall spiritual growth journey 40Days Lord, Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace and continue to return to offering more in-person worship and groups, we want to assure you that we are keeping our safety protocols as effective and up to date as possible. We also want to lift up the fact that we will continue to have a strong online ministry presence and do not want you to feel at all pressured to return to in-person activities before you are ready. Below you will find the links to letter written by Senior Pastor Jonathan Heierman (including our fall worship and ministry plan) as well as updated version of our COVID-19 safety protocols.
We want to assure you that despite everything that is going on, our pastors remain available for our community. Whether you have an emergency, are in need of counseling, or something else altogether, your needs remain our highest priority. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for pastoral care of any sort during these challenging times. You can also send us Prayer Requests if you find that is helpful in any way.
